This is a time-sensitive opportunity that the Government of Saint Lucia and the people of St. Lucia must leverage to the benefit of future generations. The people of St. Lucia, through the government, will retain ownership of the port during the entire length of the agreement. GPH will never own the port - our local management team will simply be awarded the privilege to manage and maximize the benefits earned through this asset on behalf of all Saint Lucians during the partnership period.

The people of St. Lucia, through the St. Lucia Air & Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) own and will continue to own the port throughout the term of the agreement and beyond. During the term, GPH will have the privilege of managing the port on behalf of the Government of St. Lucia to maximize its potential as a leading regional cruise destination.

Our teams are comprised of residents – citizens of the destinations we serve who have a vested interest, by birth, in the success of the port and the destination. As a result, all St. Lucia Air & Sea Ports Authority employees who may be interested in working with GPH will be given priority for employment under competitive terms.

Fairyland and Coral Gardens are two of the best scuba diving sites in St Lucia. As such, it goes without saying that the most popular activities on the island involve nature, specifically rainforest adventures. You’ll need your travel insect repellant for these types of shore excursions.

And also the proximity to the Rodney Bay Marina (with a few nice restaurants), the Splash Island Water Park which is great for families and the Bay Bay Gardens Resort offering a beach day pass. Along the northern west coast, there are a few other wonderful beaches such as Choc Beach (20-minute taxi ride), Reduit Beach (on Rodney Bay) and Pigeon Island Beach (between US$20.00 and US$30.00 each way by taxi). Besides the already mentioned landmarks in Castries (within walking distance) both terminals are close to other attractions, in particular, for those looking forward to spending some time basking in the sun. Less time consuming, a visit to the Diamond Botanical Gardens and Falls is a must.

Pointe Seraphine, one of the places where your Castries cruise ship may be docked, is home to duty-free shopping where you can purchase art, gifts, and souvenirs very conveniently near the terminal. Connected to the island of St. Lucia by a causeway built in the 1970s, Pigeon Island National Park is a perfect day trip while on your Castries cruise. Pigeon Island is a mish-mash of historic landmarks juxtaposed with the tranquility of a Caribbean island. Snorkeling and diving the clear waters are must-do activities on Pigeon Island, but so are tours of the museum and military ruins within the park. Cruise ships can dock in different places when visiting Castries, St. Lucia.

Reduit Beach – Located a 20-minute drive north of Castries, Reduit Beach is a lively stretch of sandy beach tucked in the southern part of Rodney Bay. Its blue azure waters, enjoyable atmosphere, a lot of watersports options, and a large number of facilities guarantee a fun-filled beach experience for all visitors. Nearby, toward Pigeon Island, there is a Pigeon Island public beach, another beautiful spot you can check out. The beaches are stunning and relatively close to the cruise port in Castries. Natural attractions such as the Sulfur Springs (a dormant volcano), the Diamond Falls, or the National Rain Forest are sights to behold.
